CV drivers are useful for applications such as LED lighting, where the output voltage needs to remain consistent in order to produce the desired light output. CVDs can also provide protection against overvoltage and overcurrent, as well as provide a high degree of efficiency. cv drivers are available in a variety of designs, including linear & switching. Most cvd use a combination of inductors, capacitors, and transistors to regulate the output voltage.
